Airdrie RCMP and Airdrie General Investigation Section have laid multiple charges in a child luring investigation.
The investigation began on June 12 with a report of a youth being sexually assaulted.
The investigation determined the youth had been lured on social media prior to the assault.
Callum Tanner Stewart (29), a resident of Nanaimo B.C. has been charged with the following:
- Child Luring
- Sexual Assault
- Fail to comply with a release order
Stewart is currently before the courts in B.C. for possession and distribution of child pornography. Stewart was brought before a Justice of the Peace where he has been remanded into custody. He will appear at the Calgary Provincial Court of Justice on Monday June 24.
