Doc Walker, Aaron Goodvin headlining Southern Alberta country festival

The first-ever Bow Valley Boot Stomp is set to take over the Cochrane Ag Society on July 19 and 20

Bow Valley Boot Stomp is days away, and the inaugural event is gearing up to host a big-city country music festival, right in Cochrane.

Tickets are available online for both full weekend and single day tickets. Seating options include general admission, VIP seated, and VIP standing. Ticket prices vary and can be found online.

On July 19 and 20, the Cochrane Ag Society will host a lineup of rising Canadian country music stars.

To kick off the festival on July 19, Alex Hughes, Brandon Lorenzo, and Doc Walker are all set to take the stage.

The following day, The Buckthorns, Jaryn Friesen, Jeff Catto, Michela Sheedy, Drew Gregory, Kalsey Kulyk, and Aaron Goodvin are lined up for a full day of performances.

Additionally, two barn dance after parties are also planned to take place for attendees ages 18-plus, featuring a live performance by the Backroad Traveler Band on Saturday night.

Twelve food vendors will also will also be on site serving everything from coffee and breakfast, to tacos, pizza, poutine, burgers, with vegan options and much more.

Alcohol will also be served from four different bars at the festival, with different craft beers, canned cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages from Big Rock Brewing, Cottage Springs, and Casa Del Rey

Chatters Braids and Waves will also have a booth set up for creating festival-ready hairstyles, a small curated marketplace showcasing western wares, and a Tipi Display by the Wazin House of Oneness.

The festival will also feature on-site camping through the event, and the Cochrane Ramada is offering a 15 per cent discount for festival goers.
