Airdrie Rural and Bieseker RCMP are currently on the scene of a train derailment near Bieseker.
According to police, the derailment took place along a stretch of track north of Highway 9, between Highway 806 and Range Road 255. Fire and CN are en route to the scene.
According to RCMP, there are 19 cars off the tracks and investigators are still trying to determine what is in the cars. Beiseker Fire Chief Nikki King confirmed that there is no dangerous content in the derailed train cars.
