Two armed men wanted in Moose Jaw now wanted for Alberta crime spree

Two Moose Jaw men wanted for armed robbery in Saskatchewan are now wanted in Alberta for multiple armed robberies and an armed car-jacking.

Edmonton Police Service (EPS) say Michael Sanderson, 35 and Brandon Gariepy, 38, are suspects in two armed robberies in Edmonton in recent weeks, an armed carjacking in the area of 132 Avenue and 82 Street on June 12, and thefts in Wetaskiwin, Alta. They are also wanted for an armed robbery in Moose Jaw last month.

On June 5, the two were caught on surveillance cameras robbing a restaurant near 130 Avenue and 82 Street in Edmonton, where they were armed with a sawed-off shotgun and with bear spray.

On June 17, they were again caught on video surveillance robbing a cannabis shop at 131 Avenue and 82 Street in Edmonton, where they pointed a handgun while robbing the clerk of cash and a safe.

Gariepy and Sanderson have also been identified as suspects in a theft from a Wetaskiwin, Alta., Walmart on June 16.

The two are also wanted on warrants by Moose Jaw Police Service for an armed robbery on May 10 in Moose Jaw.

Police say Sanderson is about 5-foot-8 and150 pounds. He has blonde or light brown hair and blue eyes. Gariepy is about 5-foot-6 and 156 pounds. He has brown hair.

Gariepy and Sanderson are believed to be in the Edmonton area and are considered armed and dangerous.
