BONNYVILLE - A man who was supposed to be under house arrest was arrested by Bonnyville RCMP on Oct. 26 after police responded to a suspicious car that "kept moving and stopping repeatedly."
Police went to the call at 5:45 p.m., and conducted a roadside check on the vehicle. They found the driver allegedly had an expired licence and the car had no registration or insurance.
"A further check on the occupants of the car revealed one of the passengers was on conditions from an attempted murder investigation out of Buffalo Lake . . . and was supposed to be on house arrest and not be in contact with the driver," according to information from RCMP.
Elijah Auigbelle, 20, was arrested and has been charged with two counts of failing to comply with conditions. He was transported back to cells and was remanded at his bail hearing.
"The vehicle was towed and various tickets issued to driver," according to RCMP.
