On Friday and Saturday, Home Hardware in Lac La Biche celebrated its 40th anniversary with a special community appreciation event that took place at the store on Beaver Hill Road.

The large turnout of people who came to the event enjoyed free food and drinks (including a specially-made 40th anniversary birthday cake), browsed in-store sales, and mingled with Home Hardware employees, who were walking around in their signature red shirts.

There were also exhibits from tool suppliers such as DeWalt and Milwaukee who had products on display and put on tool demonstrations. There was also the chance for those who attended the event to win door prizes as well as have photos taken next to the massive monster truck that was situated in the parking lot for the 40thanniversary celebration.

The Lac La Biche Home Hardware franchise was opened in 1984 by brothers David and Denis Tardif. The long-running local family business is owned by Devin Tardif, his mother, Louise, and sister, Andrea.
