The Lac La Biche Lakers junior hockey team is hoping to start a win-streak this weekend, after beating the Gibbons Pioneers last weekend.

The Lakers play the Northern Alberta Lightning on Friday, Nov. 29 on their home ice at the Bold Center. The team is then on the road November 30 for a game against the Edson Eagles.

The weekend games come on the heels of a split-decision the weekend before, where they lost 7-5 to the High Prairie Red Wings on home ice, and beat the Pioneers 7-5 at the Thorhild Arena.

Going into the next games, the Lakers are in fourth spot of the five-team National Junior Hockey League's north division.

Friday's home game gets underway at  7:30 pm
