LAC LA BICHE - On May 16, residents of the Lac La Biche area were given an opportunity to view preliminary designs of the mountain bike adventure park in Alexander Hamilton Park at two open houses which took place in the Bold Centre lobby. Construction on the bike trails in this 12-hectare recreational area is expected to get started in July and be completed by fall.

Lac La Biche County officials and members of the advisory committee have been working with the municipality on the project, which was approved by County council in January. They were on hand to answer questions and get public input by those who stopped by to look over the designs that were on display at the open houses, which took place at noon and again from 6-8 p.m.

The public was also able to learn about the project, including trail types to be constructed in the mostly treed mountain bike area located to the east of Alexander Hamilton Park between the current park area and the Bold Centre.
