LAC LA BICHE - The Portage College Voyageurs hockey team is hoping for a break to their losing streak to end the first half of the 2024-25 collegiate hockey season with two away games over the Nov. 29 weekend in Red Deer against the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings.

The Voyageurs lost both games in their recent home-and-home stand to the Augustana Vikings, losing 4-2 on the road on November 22 and dropping the following night's home game at the Bold Centre 10-2.

The Voyageurs have lost eight games in a row since Nov. 1, and currently sit at the bottom of their seven-team Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) North Division.

Last games of 2024

The two away games in Red Deer are the last ones for the Voyageurs before the league's Christmas break. The next home game for Portage is Jan. 10 when they host the Concordia Thunder
