On the street and on the lake, Churchill Drive in Lac La Biche gets fix ups

Construction crews were busy on Sunday repairing a broken water main. A section of Churchill Drive and 100 Street was closed off to traffic to allow crews to work. A detour was set up around the area.
Specialized construction crews work on the lakelshore erosion walls on Lac La Biche lake on Thursday morning. The work is only permitted in winter months to mitigate environmental damage to the water and lakeshore areas.

LAC LA BICHE - It's been a busy few weeks of construction along 105 Street and Churchill Drive - on the streets and on the lake - in Lac La Biche. Municipal crews were working on a broken water main last week, fixing it up over the weekend, just as specialized crews were moving onto the lake near the David Thompson statue to fix the lakeshore erosion barriers.

While the street-level area is cleared for traffic, the public is restricted from using a plowed roadway along the lakeshore where crews are working on the broken section of retaining wall and the rock-filled erosion guards.
