Work continues on Highway 36 to 91 Ave. water and sewer project

LAC LA BICHE - Since spring, construction has been a common sight for residents of the hamlet of Lac La Biche, with multiple ongoing projects taking place in the area.  

With the construction season winding down before the onset of winter, crews were busy on the afternoon of Wednesday, Oct. 23 doing work along 100 St. in Lac La Biche as part of the Highway 36 to 91 Avenue water and sewer network rehabilitation project.

According to Ali Memon, Lac La Biche County’s general manager of infrastructure, the LWL Geotechnical Company is boring holes for soil sampling to assist with the engineering design of the Highway 36 to 91 Avenue water and sewer replacement project.

As stated in information from the municipality, the work, which is included within the 2024 budget with an estimated cost of $400,000, is expected to be completed by the end of the month.
