LAKELAND - A second weekend of Lakeland Cup took place in Vegreville on June 21 to 23, featuring soccer players in the U15 and U19 age categories.
Taking first in the U15 boys’ category was Bonnyville, with St. Paul claiming silver and Vegreville with the bronze.
In the U15 category, Vegreville won gold and Bonnyville won silver.
In the U19 girls’ category, Cold Lake won gold, followed by Vegreville earning silver, and Vermilion getting bronze.
Many teams from across the Lakeland will now prepare to take part in Tier 4 rural provincials, scheduled to take place in St. Paul July 5-7.
