Eager to join Bonnyville community

Kieran Fong is the Bonnyville Nouvelle's newest reporter.

Greetings, Bonnyville! I’m Kieran Fong, a recent journalism graduate from MacEwan University, and I’m glad to introduce myself as your newest reporter.

With a solid foundation in journalism and a passion for storytelling, I’m eager to contribute stories that make up the vibrant community of Bonnyville. My journey in journalism began at the St. Albert Gazette, where I honed my skills by covering a diverse range of stories in a small city setting.

From local events to community heroes, I believe I can transform everyday occurrences into compelling narratives, both in print and online. As a recent graduate, I bring a fresh perspective and a commitment to delivering accurate and impactful news to your community.

Outside of work, I’m a huge hockey fan, and look forward to covering the Bonnyville Pontiacs and other sporting events in your community. As an Edmontonian, I’m a lifelong Oilers fan and enjoy playing hockey in a men’s league.

I chose to work as a reporter in Bonnyville because I can appreciate unique stories that small communities have to offer. I firmly believe in the power of local news to unite and inform, and I am excited to contribute to that dynamic in Bonnyville.

Recognition and community are incredibly important to me, and I believe small towns can offer that in a way cities cannot. Whether I’m at the farmer’s market or a local restaurant, don’t be afraid to say ‘hi.’

But it's not just about me - it's about you. I am here to listen to your stories, and to shine a spotlight on the events and individuals that make Bonnyville special.

Thank you for considering me as your reporter.
