ST. PAUL - In an effort to raise funds for some much-needed building repairs, the St. Paul Family Dayhomes organization will be hosting a night of family fun featuring the Joe Show, on Oct. 18.

"We are thrilled to be bringing to town the Joe Show for families to enjoy and double as a fundraiser for our non profit organization," says Danika Poulin, assistant director with St. Paul Family Dayhomes.

The evening event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Paul Rec. Centre and will feature "a fun-filled show" with a ventriloquist, magic, illusions, comedy, and face painting for children and their families.

"We kindly encourage you to bring cash for any onsite purchases such as for our snack and merchandise counter," says Poulin.

"All proceeds will go towards some major building repairs and upkeep for the dayhome office," explains Poulin.

She adds, organizers are encouraging people to take part in this "rare entertainment opportunity that we are so excited to be able to share with our community and support a great cause."

According to the Joe Show website, "After 15 years of performing for audiences of all ages, Joe turned the Joe Show into his full-time career. He’s been featured on national TV and has performed for organizations and events including Edmonton Valley Zoo, Galaxy Land, Suncor, St. Albert International Children’s Festival, New Year’s Eve for the City of Edmonton, and the YMCA, just to name a few."

Tickets can be purchased for $5 per person at the following local businesses:  Happy House, Simplistic Gifts, Floral Enchantment, and St. Paul Dayhome Society. Limited tickets will be sold at the door.
