ST. PAUL - A pre-planned police operation that involved significant police resources on Wednesday morning in St. Paul resulted in five individuals being charged with various offences.
A search warrant was executed on a residence near the St. Paul Firehall in the early morning hours of July 19. St. Paul RCMP members, with the assistance of the RCMP Emergency Response Team, executed the search warrant and located several individuals inside the residence.
The search warrant was granted and executed following a report of a robbery that took place on July 15, according to information from RCMP. Police responded to the report of a robbery with a firearm, also near the St. Paul Firehall, on Saturday night.
"The investigation revealed the victim had transported two people to the residence at which time they were ambushed and robbed at gunpoint while inside their vehicle." Five accused including three men and two women, allegedly stole the victim's vehicle, wallet, and cellular phone, according to RCMP.
A search warrant was then granted for firearms and related evidence.
"Several concerning weapons were located inside the residence," according to RCMP.
Luke Titus White, 39, of St. Paul was remanded into custody after a judicial interim release hearing with a court date set for Aug. 3. White was charged with pointing a firearm, failing to comply with release orders, four counts of possession of a firearm contrary to an order, the operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited, and possession of a firearm knowing it was unauthorized.
Shane Jackson, 33, of St. Paul, was charged with robbery with a firearm and uttering threats. Jackson was released on a $100 cash bail after a judicial interim release hearing with court scheduled for Aug. 3.
Adam Hiscock, 33, of St. Paul was also released on a $100 cash bail after a judicial interim release hearing with court scheduled for Aug. 10. Hiscock was charged with robbery with a firearm and failing to comply with probation for uttering threats and assault.
Amy Rose Cardinal, 36, from St. Paul, was released on a promise to pay $2,500 after a judicial interim release hearing with court scheduled for Aug. 10. Cardinal was charged with robbery with a firearm.
Elsie Singer, 31, of Big Island Lake, was also arrested during the search warrant. Singer was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants, and faces new charges such as with assault with a weapon, unlawful confinement, and robbery.
