ST. PAUL - A pre-planned police operation that involved significant police resources on Wednesday morning in St. Paul resulted in five individuals being charged with various offences.

A search warrant was executed on a residence near the St. Paul Firehall in the early morning hours of July 19. St. Paul RCMP members, with the assistance of the RCMP Emergency Response Team, executed the search warrant and located several individuals inside the residence.

The search warrant was granted and executed following a report of a robbery that took place on July 15, according to information from RCMP. Police responded to the report of a robbery with a firearm, also near the St. Paul Firehall, on Saturday night.

"The investigation revealed the victim had transported two people to the residence at which time they were ambushed and robbed at gunpoint while inside their vehicle." Five accused including three men and two women, allegedly stole the victim's vehicle, wallet, and cellular phone, according to RCMP.
