Charges laid after man bear sprayed in St. Paul

ST. PAUL - Charges have been laid following a report of an assault on the afternoon of Oct. 19 that included a man being bear sprayed.

Shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 19, St. Paul RCMP responded to a report of "an assault with a weapon at business near 52 street and 50 avenue," in St. Paul.

On scene, police found a man had been bear sprayed.

"The suspect was located, arrested and charged," according to RCMP.

Samara Maria Jackson, 21, was charged with assault with a weapon, theft under $5,000, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Jackson was released on conditions, and was set to appear in St. Paul court on Oct. 24.
