The St. Paul Education board of trustees will see a mix of familiar and new faces when they gather at the first meeting following the Oct. 18 election.
In Ward A, Darcy Younghans has defeated incumbent trustee Lorne Young. Younghans received 422 votes. Young had 380 votes. Connie Henderson also put her name forward in Ward A, which oversees Elk Point and Heinsburg areas.
In Ward B, Jan Rajoo has been acclaimed. Rajoo will oversee the Two Hills/Myrnam regions.
In Ward C, two trustees have been elected. Sylvie Smyl received 1,401 votes, while Lorette Andersen was elected with 1,020 votes. Also running was Connie Landsiedel. Ward C takes in a large portion of the St. Paul area.
In Ward D, incumbent Heather Starosielski won with 652 votes. Suzanne Stybel also ran in Ward D, which takes in the Ashmont and Mallaig areas.
Starosielski was the board chair for the past term, a position that is chosen by the elected trustees.
Also acclaimed is Glen Avon Ward trustee Dwight Wiebe.

ST. PAUL - The St. Paul Education school board election ran alongside the municipal election today.
Results will be posted when they are available.
In Ward A (Elk Point/Heinsburg), there are three names on the ballot vying for one seat. Connie Henderson and Darcy Younghans have challenged incumbent Lorne Young.
In Ward B (Two Hills/Myrnam) Jan Rajoo has been acclaimed. She will replace her husband who was the former trustee for the area, Ruven Rajoo.
In Ward C, two trustees will be elected from three candidates in the region that oversees much of the St. Paul area. On the ballot is Lorette Andersen, Connie Landsiedel, and Sylvie Smyl.
In Ward D, incumbent Heather Starosielski, who was also the board chair for the past term, is being challenged by Suzanne Stybel. Ward D includes Ashmont and Mallaig regions.
In the Glen Avon Ward, Dwight Wiebe has been acclaimed and is declared elected. Wiebe was serving on the board for the past term, but this wil be his first term representing the Glen Avon Ward.
Incumbent trustees Justin Anderson and Christopher Cook also did not seek re-election.
