The Healthier Communities Regional Golf Tournament has been part of the yearly fundraising initiatives for both organizations for the last several years. The 2024 competition took place on July 4 at the Lac La Biche Golf and Country Club.

County of St. Paul council denied a request from a landowner to waive $1,104 of tax penalty fees, which accumulated due to unpaid tax levies in 2022, 2023, and 2024, after the landowner did not receive tax bills for an extended period of time. 

Wood Buffalo RCMP reported late Saturday afternoon that 40 year old Faton Miftari had been located and arrested without incident.
