Rocky View County senior charged with attempted murder will receive 30-day psychiatric evaluation

The attempted murder case for 73-year-old Rocky View County resident Rhonda Campbell will return to court on Mar. 4 after the senior undergoes a 30-day psychiatric evaluation.

A 73-year-old Rocky View County resident will be returning to court after a 30-day psychiatric evaluation, after being charged with attempted murder last week.

Rhonda Campbell was arrested on Jan. 31 after Cochrane RCMP was called to her home where she surrendered herself to the police.

The victim, Campbell’s husband, was transported to a Calgary hospital with serious injuries.

After appearing in court on Feb. 5, it was decided that Campbell will receive a 30-day psychiatric evaluation to see if she is fit to stand before court.

Campbell’s case will return to the King’s Court Bench in Calgary on Mar. 4.
