LAKELAND – As of 11 p.m., ballot counts released by Elections Alberta are showing that UCP candidate Scott Cyr is taking a significant lead in the Bonnyville-Cold Lake-St. Paul riding.
Three hours after polls closed at 8 p.m., there are just 13 of 21 polls in the Bonnyville-Cold Lake-St. Paul riding reporting results from the 2023 Alberta provincial election.
So far, Blake has received 754 votes, while Cyr has garnered 1,556.
Across the province, 70 per cent of polling stations are reporting results back to Elections Alberta.
A total of 1,101,765 valid votes have been counted, with 492 declined ballots and 5,004 rejected ballots, according to Elections Alberta.
Experts are now predicting a UCP majority.
