Home ice win for Elk Point Elks

ELK POINT – Elk Point Elks took on the Hillmond Hitmen at the A. G. Ross Arena last Friday night, with Nick Anderson putting the home team on the scoreboard just under four minutes into the game, off assists by Kyle Kjenner and Liam Ludlage.

That 1-0 lead would stay in place until almost the middle of the third period, when the Hitmen tied it up with their first goal of the night. Darwin Ward put the Elks back out in front three minutes later with a power play goal assisted by Trey Delver and Hayden Ludlage, with Corbin Blyan scoring the Elks’ final goal of the night unassisted in the final minute of play, for a 3-1 win.

On Nov. 29, the Elks will welcome the Marwayne Comets at 8 p.m. to wrap up Elk Point’s Christmas Extravaganza.
