ELK POINT - Junior high volleyball players from across the region gathered in Elk Point Oct. 18 and 19 to get some experience on the court.
F.G. Miller Jr/Sr High School hosted a Grade 7-9 tournament, with St. Mary's from Vegreville winning both the boys' and girls' sides of the tournament.
Elk Point Elementary hosted a Grade 6-8 junior varsity tournament, where the winners were École du Sommet from St. Paul on the boys' side, and Glen Avon School on the girls' side.
Junior and senior high volleyball season will continue to play out through October and into November for many student athletes in the Lakeland.
