The spirit of the season was alive and well at Aurora Middle School on Thursday as the school held its annual Christmas concert. A large crowd-including many parents of students-filled the gymnasium for the event. The concert, which lasted roughly 45 minutes, featured the Grade 4 and 5 music classes singing popular Christmas songs including ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’, ‘Up on the Housetop’, ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’, as well as a fun, enjoyable version of ‘I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.’

A Grade 6 band and a combined Grade 7/8 band playing saxophones, trumpets, trombones, and other instruments also performed instrumentals of such tunes as ‘Good King Wenceslas’, ‘Jolly Old St. Nicholas’ ‘Little Drummer Boy’, and ‘Bells, Bells, Bells.’
