LAC LA BICHE - The popular fictional book and Netflix series Bridgerton came to life for a few hours on Saturday during an event that took place at the Stuart MacPherson Public Library in Lac La Biche.

Wearing colourful and elaborate dresses from the British regency period of the early 19th Century, a group of women, as well as some gentlemen, gathered together for a tea party where they mingled and enjoyed an assortment of snacks on offer. Lady Bridgerton herself was also on hand for the festivities.

Upon arrival, guests were provided with such titles as viscountess, countess, earl, and others as they went about playing various roles from the series.

Throughout the afternoon, those who attended the Bridgerton-themed luncheon participated in lively rounds of trivia designed to test their knowledge of the series, which was written by Julia Quinn and includes eight novels. There was also a search to find the mysterious Lady Whistledown, who is best known for writing an anonymous social pamphlet highlighting the latest gossip, as well as Eloise, another Bridgerton character who has a penchant for rebelliousness.
