LAC LA BICHE - Christmas will soon be arriving, and many folks in the Lac La Biche region have been celebrating the festive spirit of the season of good cheer by lighting up the night with colourful lights and decorations on their homes.

A number of dwellings in the community are adorned with multicoloured lights and symbols of the Christmas season, including Santa Claus, snowmen, reindeer, and brightly-lit trees, while others feature religious representations such as nativity scenes.

It isn’t only marvellously-coloured houses that folks can admire around Lac La Biche during the Christmas season. Located along the community’s main street (101 Ave.) are lit-up trees, Christmas bells and other emblems of the holiday season.

Recently, Lac La Biche County had over 30 trees in McArthur Park decorated with holiday lights. Some of these lighted trees run alongside the walking trail that was built earlier this year as part of the ongoing three-year $10 million revitalization of the municipal recreation space. The work is anticipated to be wrapped up next fall.
