With vehicle access blocked due to the ongoing construction zone downtown, police officers were seen running to a complaint call in the Lac La Biche downtown late Tuesday morning.
Sirens could be heard in the community at around 11:30 Tuesday morning as other police vehicles approached the east-side of the block-long construction zone that has cut off vehicle access to a portion of the downtown core since work began in May. The Lac La Biche POST newsroom has contacted the local RCMP for details about the incident, but police have yet to provide information.
