In a while crocodile

It can be hard to keep secrets in a small town, but I think it is safe to say that the cat is out of the bag now.

Indeed, I have been growing rounder, and at a quickening pace. As I write this, I have transitioned into my maternity leave.

When I moved to Bonnyville over two years ago, I wasn’t sure if the relocation was a temporary one or permanent one. But before I realized it, I was already putting down roots in this small but vibrant community.

And now it would seem I am ready to raise a family here too. While you won’t be seeing my name in the newspaper quite as often, I will definitely see you around town and at numerous community events.

I feel so blessed to have had the chance to hear and share so many of your stories. But for now, someone else will be taking my place.

Every day that I have reported on this community, I learned something new and interesting. Often feeling inspired by the hard work and passion that drives Lakeland residents.

I am grateful to have the opportunity to begin raising my family here. Thank you.
