Numerous complaints result in arrest

ST. PAUL - Numerous complaints to St. Paul RCMP of an individual driving around town in a vehicle with a firearm resulted in the arrest of a male suspect on Oct. 2.

RCMP located the vehicle and occupant near 48th St and 49th Ave. A firearm was found in the vehicle, according to a media release.

Justice Alexander Steinhauer, 27, Saddle Lake, is facing numerous charges in connection with the arrest including: possession of a firearm contrary to order (x3), possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unsafe storage of firearm, possession of firearm in motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without certificate of registration, driving uninsured motor vehicle on highway, driving  while unauthorized, and possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized.

He was held for a judicial interim release hearing, and was remanded into custody. He is set to appear on Oct. 10 in St. Paul court.
