HALIFAX — RCMP in Halifax say a 47-year-old woman from New Brunswick has died following a single-vehicle crash.

Police and fire services were called around 9:30 a.m. Saturday to report of a collision on Highway 103 near Exit 5 in the Tantallon area, just west of Halifax.

Police say the driver and sole occupant of a Toyota Matrix was travelling west when it left the road and went into the ditch.

The 47-year-old woman from Dalhousie Junction, N.B., was pronounced dead at the scene.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Police say their thoughts are with the victim's loved ones.
