The hockey community is mourning the loss of a St. Albert writer and podcaster who passed away this week.
Bruce McCurdy, a St. Albert resident and longtime writer for the Edmonton Journal’s Cult of Hockey, passed away on April 2.
We lost our great friend Bruce McCurdy last night. He passed on shortly after the Oilers beat Vegas. My heart is broken with grief and sorrow.

So very sorry to hear that the Cult of Hockey's Bruce McCurdy has passed away. Bruce was an astronomer and also a kind, gentle force of nature.

So very tragic, as a true Oilers pundit leaves us too soon. Bruce brought a unique perspective, peppered with astrological wit and his love for the team, he will be dearly missed.

So very sorry to hear that the Cult of Hockey's Bruce McCurdy has passed away. Bruce was an astronomer and also a kind, gentle force of nature as Oiler fans know.
