BONNYVILLE - A man was remanded in custody following an incident where a victim was allegedly struck by a shovel in Bonnyville.
On Nov. 23, just before 5 p.m., RCMP received a report of an assault with a shovel. When police arrive, they determined "the victim was out on the sidewalk by his residence and the suspect rode by on his bicycle, and the shovel he was carrying struck the victim."
Shane Leguerrier, 49, of Bonnyville was arrested the next day and has been charged with assault with a weapon and three counts of failing to comply with an undertaking from a previous incident.
He was remanded into custody and is set to appear next on Dec. 3.
