BONNYVILLE - The Town of Bonnyville is putting on a free family friendly event with live music, kids' activities, a barbecue, a beer garden, and more. It will be held on July 20 at 5 p.m. at the Bonnyville Centennial Centre following the Cold Lake Air Show.
Event Organizer Doreen Kushnir said the concert will keep the festivities going during the air show weekend, and there will be something for everyone at the event.
“It’s for the whole family. There are activities for the kids to do, there’s vendors, and then we’re having a concert – Tiago James starts at 7 p.m. and then at 8:30 p.m. Sass Jordan starts. The event is for everyone, and it’s free”
Sass Jordan, Canadian rock singer-songwriter, will headline the After Burner event with her “raw passion, soulful vocals, and unapologetic rock attitude,” according to her website biography.
“The most astonishing thing about music is its power to heal and uplift. Forget about the fact that it sounds great or has a hypnotic rhythm. Everything is energy, frequency and vibration- and when music is created with the intent to heal and uplift, it actually becomes medicine...if your goal is to feel better, I suggest you ingest some musical medicine,” stated Jordan.
The Tiago James Band from Cold Lake is a four-piece band that plays country and rock music. It will be a great opportunity to come out and support local musicians and enjoy a fun night of music.
“The events committee came up with the idea...It adds to the airshow, cause they’re done at 4 p.m. and then this keeps the party going,” said Kushnir.
