BONNYVILLE - Bonnyville RCMP arrested a 28-year-old man who is now facing a long list of charges, following an alleged home invasion that took place on Feb. 16.
The alleged home invasion took place in the MD of Bonnyville, while an incident that involved the "discharge of firearm," took place in Kehewin, according to a Feb. 20 correction released by RCMP.
Douglas John has been charged with theft under $5,000 (x4), break and enter with intent (x2), mischief under $5,000 (x2), unauthorized possession of a firearm (x5), possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order (x4), resisting a peace officer, discharging a firearm with intent, flight from a peace officer, theft of a motor vehicle, several firearm-related offences, possession of property obtained by crime (x5) and trespassing at night.
He was also charged with failing to comply with a probation order (x5).
John was taken before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody. His last court appearance was on Feb. 18 in Bonnyville.
