CF-18 flyby planned for Thursday over 4 Wing

COLD LAKE - A CF-18 Hornet from 4 Wing Cold Lake will be doing a flyby on July 25 to mark 4 Wing Change of Command.

At about 1:07 p.m. and 2:11 p.m., the CF-18 Hornet will fly over the base "at an altitude no lower than 500 feet above the highest obstacle over ground level. The public should not expect higher than normal noise in the vicinity of the base," reads information from 4 Wing.

"Royal Canadian Air Force flybys are carefully planned and closely controlled to ensure public safety at all times," reads the information, adding, "The Royal Canadian Air Force is proud to share in special events that allow us to demonstrate the capabilities of our personnel and aircraft to Canadians."

Aircraft participation is always subject to weather and operational requirements.
