COLD LAKE - Cold Lake Addiction services will be running out of the second floor of the Cold Lake Healthcare Centre until further notice.
According to a spokesperson for Recovery Alberta, the new provincial health agency responsible for mental health and addiction services, the Cold Lake Addiction Services office “had to be vacated to investigate a building issue.”
It was not clear what the issue was, or how long they expected to be out of the building. A sign posted to the door on Feb. 12 said the office would be closed through Feb. 14. The regular clinic location was still closed as of Feb. 20.
Clinic hours in the temporary hospital location remain the same, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Cold Lake Addictions Services provides assessment, treatment, referrals to treatment centres, and short term counselling for children, youth, adults, and older adults struggling with addictions and mental health issues.
