COLD LAKE - Cold Lake RCMP are investigating a shelter fire that resulted in the death of a 50-year-old male.
At approximately 5 p.m. on March 14, Cold Lake RCMP and Cold Lake Fire-Rescue responded to a building structure in Cold Lake south.
The building was extensively damaged as a result of the blaze, and several people were treated on scene for smoke inhalation and other related injuries.
A 50-year-old Cold Lake male was transported to an Edmonton hospital by STARS in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries.
Cold Lake General Investigative Section (GIS) and Forensic Identification Services are continuing to investigate the incident.
