COLD LAKE - Police have arrested a man following an alleged armed robbery that took place in the early morning hours of Nov. 30 at a business on 8th Avenue in Cold Lake
Shortly after 2 a.m., a man reportedly entered a convenience store and "demanded cigarettes after producing a firearm and collapsible baton," according to police.
The man allegedly then fled the store with two cartons of cigarettes and was seen getting into a vehicle that left northbound. After reviewing CCTV footage, police were able to identify the suspect.
As a result of the investigation, Cold Lake resident Samuel Logan Willier, 27, was charged with robbery with a firearm, uttering threats, and failure to comply with a release order.
Willier was remanded in custody with his next court date set for Dec. 4 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake.
