Police working to track down vehicle that hit pedestrian on Highway 28

Police are reaching out to the public to gather information regarding a collision on Nov. 11 where a pedestrian was reportedly hit by a moving vehicle, just outside of Cold Lake.

COLD LAKE - Police are reaching out to the public to gather information regarding a collision on Nov. 11 where a pedestrian was reportedly hit by a moving vehicle, just outside of Cold Lake.

Cold Lake RCMP responded to a all at about 5:40 p.m. The pedestrian was allegedly struck by a vehicle that was travelling eastbound on Highway 28, near Casino Dene.

"The vehicle did not remain on scene and continued driving towards Cold Lake," according to information released by RCMP on Nov. 29.

Cold Lake RCMP are seeking assistance from the public to identify the vehicle and driver involved in the incident. The vehicle is described as a 2019-2023 GMC Sierra 1500/Chevrolet Silverado 1500 that would be missing a passenger side mirror.
