The zipline at Kinosoo Beach is now running after its delay in operating due to low water levels.

COLD LAKE - Visitors to Kinosoo Beach this summer might have noticed the absence of one of its popular attractions—the zipline. According to Todd Worthington, Parks Manager for the City of Cold Lake, the delay in the zipline’s operation was due to unusual environmental conditions.

"The zipline had a late installation this year due to low water levels of the lake," Worthington explained. "It is normally installed much earlier in the season, but because we had such a low snowfall, and other environmental factors contributing to the water levels, we had to wait until the waterline was higher in order for it to be considered safe to use."

The City of Cold Lake announced on July 30 that the zipline is now operational and will remain open until the end of the summer.
