Members of the Beaver Lake Cree Nation re-elected Germaine Anderson as their chief, as well as three councillors at the band elections March 29.
The councillors elected by the voters were the re-elected Charlene Cardinal, Shirley Paradis and Felix Lewis.
Their new four-year term in office officially began on April 1.
The POST has reached out to the band administration office however, voting details from the polls and statements from the new chief and council are yet to be received.
A statement from chief Anderson will be included in next week's issue.
