Construction work done on Lac La Biche's Beaver Hill Road

During the week, Lac La Biche County crews were working on a section of Beaver Hill Road between 94 Ave. and 101 Ave. (Main Street) completing asphalt repairs and filling potholes.

LAC LA BICHE – Motorists travelling around the hamlet of Lac La Biche this week may have found themselves being stopped by flaggers as construction work took place on the section of Beaver Hill Road between 101 Ave. and 94 Ave.

According to Jihad Moghrabi, the manager of communications and marketing for Lac La Biche County, County staff were completing asphalt repairs on Beaver Hill Road, specifically filling potholes to maintain the integrity of a key urban corridor of the hamlet of Lac La Biche.

While work was initially expected to be completed on Feb. 25, Moghrabi said due to the number of potholes along with the melt water from recent warmer weather, repairs along Beaver Hill Road would continue until Feb. 28.

In information from Lac La Biche County on Feb. 24, the public was advised that crews would be working on the road starting at 9 a.m.

“There will be signage and flaggers to direct traffic through the area, but we ask all drivers to slow down and watch for crewmembers and equipment,” the municipality said.
