Lac La Biche Post staff have made arrangements for the paper to still be available for our subscribers.
From information being given to newspaper publishers from national and provincial newspaper associations, all Canada Post offices have been affected by the national strike action.
We have made interim plans to deal with the situation as best as we can. We know it's not a perfect solution, but it is the best that we can do.
Stand sale newspapers will still be available at all regional selling points — and of course, e-subscribers will not be affected, but MAIL SUBSCRIBERS will have papers available for them at several designated areas instead of the local Canada POST outlets or rural superboxes.
Lac La Biche area
Lac La Biche and immediate area subscribers can pick up their copy of the POST at the Lac La Biche POST NEWSPAPER OFFICE
Plamondon Area
Double L has agreed to be the pick-up point for POST subscribers in the Plamondon area.
Buffalo Lake and Caslan area
POST newspapers will be available for SUBSCRIBERS at Gordey's General Store in Caslan.
Wandering River and Breynat
Subscribers can pick up their papers at the Wandering River Quick Stop, where stand sale newspapers will also be available for $1.25.
Areas without central collection points
Subscribers from other rural communities without a central service point will have to make their way to one of our selected locations. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause all of our readers, but we have no control over these changes.
ONce the strike is over, which may be by Wednesday or Thursday of this week, mail delivery of our newspaper is expected to resume as normal.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience, but it is out of our control.
