Ecole Beausejour class of 2024 celebrates with graduation

Ecole Beausejour grad ceremonies lead the way for Lac La Biche and Plamondon school events

PLAMONDON - Ecole Beausejour in Plamondon said farewell and bonne chance to its Grad Class of 2024 on June 1.

The francophone school congratulated nine graduating students with a ceremony at St. Isidore's Catholic Church and the Plamondon Festival Centre.

The Ecole Beausejour grad is the first of several to take place over the coming weeks in the Lac La Biche and Plamondon areas.

In Lac La Biche on June 7, the two students in the Light of Christ Catholic School graduating class will be recognized for their grade-school journe.

The Ecole Plamondon School grad will see 24 students walk across the stage on on June 28. Although the school has been closed since late April due to a massive water main break that flooded the building, the graduation ceremonies will go ahead, using Plamondon's Festival Place as a backdrop.

A week earlier, on June 22, students in the J. A. Williams High School graduation class will be taking part in their convocation ceremony at the Bold Center. This year's JAWS grad class has an A-Z roster — from Anderson to Zahra — of 85 students.
