LAC LA BICHE - Throughout the curling season, the Lac La Biche and District Curling Club hosts monthly Friday Fun Nights, with the most recent event taking place on Jan. 24.
The purpose of the Friday Fun Nights is to give people an opportunity to get together to socialize, enjoy snacks, refreshments and live musical entertainment while learning more about the winter sport. During the Jan. 24 event, those in attendance were provided with on-ice tutorials that taught them basic curling techniques such as sliding and sweeping.
The Friday Fun Nights start at the beginning of the curling season in October and wrap up in March.
The next Friday Fun Night will be held at the Lac La Biche Curling Club on Feb. 21 at 7 p.m.
