LAC LA BICHE - A mixed bag of weather brought rain, freezing rain and snow to the Lac La Biche area on Thursday/
During the later part of Thursday morning, residents of the hamlet of Lac La Biche were busy cleaning up snow that had accumulated on sidewalks and in parking areas, and also cleared snow and ice from their vehicles.
Lac La Biche County snowploughs were also out and about in the area.
The Environment Canada forecast for the Lac La Biche region on Jan. 16 called for heavy periods of snow ranging from five to 10 centimetres, along with winds of 40 km/hour and gusting to 60 km/hour by the afternoon. Afternoon temperatures of -1C with a windchill of -11C were also forecasted for the afternoon.
Sunny but colder weather was projected going into the Jan. 17 weekend.
