Lac La Biche Summer Days got underway on Friday and Saturday mornings with a hearty pancake breakfast at the Lac La Biche Heritage Centre.
A small army of volunteers got an early start flipping pancakes on the griddle both days in anticipation of the dozens of visitors who would soon be arriving. The pancake breakfast has traditionally been part of the 60-year history of the August long-weekend community event. The meal of flapjacks, sausages, juice, tea, and coffee - in which musical entertainment was provided by Plamondon – based country duo Dusty Roads – was the prelude to the calendar of events that followed throughout the weekend.
