More signage for Lac La Biche's new one-way intersection

Lac La Biche County staff recently installed two and three-directional signs on the corner of 101 Street and 102 Avenue.

LAC LA BICHE - Lac La Biche County staff were recently on the corner of 101 Street and 102 Avenue in the hamlet of Lac La Biche installing two and three-directional arrow traffic signs.

The signage facing the community’s one-way street is a reminder to motorists to drive either left or right onto 102 Avenue. Signs posted inside the one-way street, which takes up a block of 101 Street in front of the Abougouche AG Food grocery store, notifies drivers that they may go either left, right, or continue straight down 101 Street.

The one-way street is part of the ongoing $32.5 million Main Street Revitalization project.

The one-directional traffic route was installed over the weekend of Oct. 28, 2024, when work on the second phase of the three-phase project was completed.

The third and final phase of the makeover of Lac La Biche’s 101 Avenue (Main Street) will be getting underway this spring. This work will be done on a section of Main Street between 100 Street and 101 Street.

That segment of roadway, from the Alberta Treasury Branch to Lac La Biche Sporting Goods, will be closed to traffic for the duration of the project.
