RCMP looking for ATVs taken from LLB store

Quads taken from store's secured lot

Lac La Biche RCMP are continuing to investigate a recent break-in and theft at the Lac La Biche Sporting Goods storage yard, where two all-terrain vehicles were reported stolen.

Police are now asking for the public's help in their investigation of the theft that happened in the early morning hours of Jan. 21 of this year.

Police say that sometime between 5:30 and 6 a.m. two suspects gained access to the outdoor storage yard that is located behind the main street business and rode away with two Honda four-wheel ATVs. The storage area is bordered by a large chain link fence and locked gates.

A 2020 green Honda TRX500FA-CANADA Rubicon and a 2015 black Honda TRX500FF2F were taken. The value of the pair is estimated at around $22,000.

General descriptions of the suspects — described as larger in size and dressed in winter clothing — have been collected in the preliminary investigation, but police are now asking any residents or business owners in the area to check available video surveillance they may still have from the date of the offence.

Anyone with information about this investigation or any other unsolved crime, is encouraged to call the Lac La Biche RCMP at 780-404-2500, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). Anyone providing information leading to an arrest could be eligible for a Crime Stoppers reward.
