FROG LAKE - Last week, Elk Point RCMP found three abandoned puppies along Hwy 897, in Frog Lake First Nations. The discovery was made on Jan. 14.
"The animals appear to have been abandoned along a rural stretch of (the highway) with no houses nearby," according to RCMP. "Human tracks were located where the puppies were found. Police feared for the well-being and the safety of the animals and were brought in to foster care."
