BONNYVILLE – After more than a month, the Town of Bonnyville has announced the community pool will reopen on March 19.
The swimming pool has been closed since Jan. 30 to replace the facility’s salination tank.
Initially slated to be closed for just two weeks, ongoing challenges to replace parts no longer available extended the closure while the contactor worked to modify equipment in order to get the system up and running.

Once open, the pool will run with its regular operations and no restrictions will be in place, indicated the Town of Bonnyville through an online post made Friday morning.
“Family and Lane Swim will be at 11 a.m. and Public Swim will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.,” according to the Town’s website.
The dates and times for swimming lessons will be announced at a later date.
